Our Story

Who we are, where we come from, and where we're headed as a church family

Who we are

We are an Assemblies of God church conveniently located in the cozy town of Bellbrook, Ohio. We are within close driving distance of South Dayton, Centerville, Beavercreek, Kettering and Xenia.

Where we Come From

In August of 2012, a group of friends got together to pray and to discuss the possibility of planting a church in the Dayton Area with Pastor Joe Horner and his wife, Pam. In January of 2013, this little group of 12 began meeting at Saxby’s Coffee in Sugarcreek Township for a weekly Bible Study, prayer and to pursue the dream of starting a church in the Centerville-Bellbrook area.

That dream came true. In June of 2013, we became Centerbrook Church, a Parent Affiliated Church of Miamisburg Assembly of God. Immediately, we began looking for a place to hold church services and by the grace of God, we found a church in Bellbrook willing to rent us their building on Sunday evenings. On the 2nd Sunday evening in July 2013, we held our first service.

Then, in February 2015, the former church disbanded, and we were given full access to the church building. We worked day and night renovating the building in preparation to hold our first Sunday morning service on Easter Sunday, 2015. A few months later, we entered into a lease agreement and in November of 2018, we closed on the purchase of the church property, making it our home.

During that time the church grew in number and influence in the community. We also advanced our church status to become an Assemblies of God, General Council Church, by unanimous vote at a Special Business Meeting in August of 2017.
